Banks Mansion Hotel Amsterdam

We decided to include the luxurious Banks Mansion in our list of the Family Hotels, because of its general qualities - this is one of the best hotels in town. It is a perfectly located (just 100m. - 300 yards from the Flower Market), well equipped, nicely decorated, comfortable. It may seem high-priced, but its service is very good and several of its amenities as all drinks, breakfast, even snacks, as well as first 50 minutes of Internet, are included in the price of the room.

Beautifully decorated in the 1920’s style hotel lobby is called the Living and functions like a living room of the house. Staying with children, you will appreciate the possibility of having there a small snack and a soda (with a glass of wine for the parents) at any time of the day. The breakfast room is called the Kitchen and its cooking area is open to the guests, again like at home. So you may see your pancakes being made.

We especially suggest the canal view rooms and most quiet the back rooms of the hotel, as other rooms open to the busy street with trams. But even there, the thick Banks Mansion walls and good double windows will isolate you from the busy street noise.

We suggest this boutique hotel for a stay with teenagers. Making your reservation, you will have to go for double rooms, as the rooms at Banks Mansion are not very big. With the family of four you will need two rooms. Children up to 3 may stay for free in the parents’ room.

Banks Mansion check-in time is unusually late - at 3 p.m. If you arrive before this time, there might be a situation that your room is not ready yet. Nevertheless, this belonging to the Carlton Hotels network, is one of the best hotels in town. Comfort without a shade of pretentiousness.
