De Zotte Belgisch Bierproeflokaal in Amsterdam

De Zotte cafe bar Amsterdam

Pick a color, any color! De Zotte has them all. Blonde, amber, brown, red or yellow beers are served up by a faithful few behind the bar. If it’s not enough for you to experience the beer in your glass, you can look to the walls in search of its signature label as well.

If you find that there are too many choices to make, the selected beer of the month may be a great way to start. With 4 euro in your hand, you can be sure to begin with a great taste. Some of the finer beers will ask up to 10 euro for your enjoyment.

If you plan to have dinner there, watch your time. Within a few precious hours you can try their homemade ‘vlaamse friets’ (Flemish fries) or a decent size steak. If for some reason beer is not your preference, their wine options are a nice compliment for your meal.

With proper ‘gezellig’ bench seating, both inside and outside (in fair weather), you can get one drink closer to a Belgian experience. The only difference between this and the ‘real thing’, is that you pay for the olives here. They do well to offer a good assortment of salty ‘borrel hapjes’ (snacks) to help you enjoy your experience to its fullest potential. And if you feel you need a little help getting home, they do espressos as well. Proost!

Open daily 16.00 - 01.00 and Friday + Saturday 14.00 - 03.00. Kitchen hours 18.00 - 21.30.
