When you come upon the Hard Rock Café you cannot help to notice their motto, “Love All, Serve All, Save the World.” These words have been with this corporate restaurant since its birth and are common practice among its staff.

In terms of ‘Love All,’ all are welcome! And with Amsterdam being such an international mecca, this makes it sound rather welcoming. Unfortunately if you come from a walk of life with a tight budget, this is not the best option for you. It is fair warning that with popularity comes unpopular pricing. You can be satisfied to know that although the pictures look delicious, the actual plates leave something to be desired, that can easily be found in the plethora of options Amsterdam gives.

There are times when paying for the service and location are worth it though, and indeed the ‘Serve All’ rings true. The Hard Rock Café staff is friendly, attentive and gives great service and recommendations. There is a comfortableness brought to the table with each waiter that allows you to feel free to ask the most simple of questions.

The ‘Save the World’ comes in more at the corporate level with all of Hard Rock Cafes diverse philanthropies. But if you happen to be a Rock ‘n’ Roll junkie, it may also apply to you. Funneling in live music from the Paradiso, and hosting a variety of events reveals this cafes sensibility to the Rock ‘n’ Roll life. Every third Friday of the month there is a time for collectors to trade their pins. And throughout the summer Thursday nights host Djs and Fridays offer a unique canal boat tour.

Seating options for such experiences range from sitting on the waterfront terrace, outside watching the hustle and bustle of the square, to sitting inside amongst the Rock ‘n’ Roll memorabilia. Which ever way you’ll have it, just remember to keep it Rockin.’
