City Hotel Amsterdam

City Hotel AmsterdamA small hotel located in a typical 18th century Dutch townhouse, located at the busy street close to the Central Station.

Rooms

Through a worn out lobby and a steep staircase, you will go up to your room. If you stay in one of the rooms on the upper floors, you will have to climb even longer. You will get to see an old construction of the house, with its long windows, narrow corridors and wooden ceiling bulks, just above your head. Taller people should not stay on the top floor of the hotel – the door and the ceiling in the bathroom will be too low for them. The City Hotel’s décor is outdated; its furniture is gray and dusty. Good beds with clean sheets. All rooms have bathroom. A bar downstairs. No curfew – 24h reception.

Car

City Hotel is easily accessible by car from Amsterdam ring A10 via Ij tunnel (exit S114, after the tunnel, take right direction Central Station – the hotel will be within 50 meters on your left). If you are not able to find the place in the street (metered parking, day-ticket is the cheapest), you may leave your car on a big parking lot in front of the hotel.

Location

City Hotel Amsterdam Room City Hotel in Amsterdam is perhaps not much fun, but its is inexpensive, quiet and conveniently located behind the Red Light District, within a short walking distance to the Dam square. It has a friendly, multilingual service. We recommend it as a budget solution for a short stay, whilst you need a room with a bathroom. The hotel’s already low rates include a basic breakfast and city tax. Great location, especially if you plan to spend some time in the cafés and bars of the nearby Red Light District.
