+ Just out side the central station, and just 5 mins walk out from the busy center. A very nice south facing view from the canal side of the boat.
- A very poor view from the side which does not face the canal, from that side you have full view of the building contruction taking place with pile drivers which start at 7am.

+ few steps from Central Station, easy access to all public transports, few hundreds meters walk to Damrak, great breakfast buffet, cable tv
- full payment at check-in, noisy work in progress in the neighborhood (included noise by trains from and to the station), nobody seems to care if and when you exit or enter into the hotel

+ Price was good value for money. Room were basic but size was adequate. Location, close to Central Station (5-8 minute walk) and very useful for late night arrival and early morning train departures- unless you have a lot of heavy luggage. Defintiely recommend requesting city facing side upon booking on level 3 or level 4. Would use again if budget required.
- Noise from adjacent building site (pile driver)and train station. Beds could be more comfortable - rather cheap mattress. Breakfast a bit disappointing but adequate. No aircon or ventilation so had to sleep with window open, letting in quite a bit of noise.

+ The staff helped us with information and contacting our car hire company, the hotel's excellent location close to central Amsterdam and attractions.
- The noise of people walking past the hotel with their suitcases on wheels, the reading lights above the bed preventing you from sitting up, the lumpy pillows.

- size of room, couldn't get a taxi from cental station because it was too close to the boat and our bags weighed over 50 pounds each, so we had to pull them in the rain

+ Safetybox and hairdryer available, nice breakfast, nice view from the rooms if you stay by the waterfront, 24 hour servicedesk,
- This is not what you expect from a 3 star hotel and it is not price worthy! The room was smelly from smoke and the air was damp. Very tiny room with rock hard bed and bad pillows. Really tiny bathroom, bad sound isolation - you can hear everything from the room next door. The service was (from some staff) poor and unfriendly.
