- the photographs indicated a bar but this had been taken out some time ago.
Also the hotel was run down and was in need of refurbishment. The carpets were disgusting in the main stair way and entrance.
Overall this hotel was a huge disapointment

- bathroomceiling was filled with fungus.
Showerhose was too short
Room was outdated, it was clear that very little maintenance was performed on the hotel/room.

- - The ceiling in the bathroom was really dirty (mold?)
- We should pay much more then the price on the internet; after some claimings we paid the correct amount.

+ great location
- Our "canal view" was a room in the basement looking UP onto a pavement. And the decor of the hotel was vile. Alos, parts of the wallpaper had fallen off the wall and they had decided to use MASKING TAPE to re attach it to the wall! Why not use some paste?! The breakfast was your usual unappetising "continental" breakfast of sweaty cheese and cold meats.

The quality of the bed and the appearence of the room were not remarkable.

+ as long as you are not paying a lot of money its not that bad my single room was large by amsterdam standards fairly central location quiet street. breakfast ok

+ very good location not far from the city center and in a nice quarter
- the bathroom was very bad lit, the neon above the wash-basin did not work and was not replaced before 2 days.
Noisy at night, the first night we were disturbed by somebody next room who has phoned loudly until 2.00 am, the area of the hotel was also noisy with the presence of a cafe was very close and people going out and shouting at night

- it was so hot in the room due to such a hot july fans would be a good idea even if you have to pay a deposit.

+ Breakfast was very tastefull.
- Location of the hotel in the heart of Amsterdam was excellent but we asked for a canal view room and we were put up in basement room and it was very noisy during night. As well the receptionists were apathetic and even they didn´t answer on greetings.
