+ friendly staff, great location (20 seconds walk from Leidseplein). 10 minute tram ride from Centraal. A bit pricey for the size of the room, but everything was clean and tidy. The theme (ie backstage/music-y) was pretty cool. One of the nicer places I have stayed in. But I would call this place more of a (really nice) hostel than a hotel.
- tiny tiny tiny rooms and the sheets had not been changed and there was a wet towel on the bed when I arrived. But the staff were very good and changed them immediately.

+ Funky rooms(we lived on 4th floor), friendly stuff, location
- no elevator, very steep stairs, the driver of the taxi that the hotel ordered for us was completely mad. He was behaving like crazy and shouting insults in english and his own language for no particular reason.

+ Spacious rooms, excellent for 4 sharing. iPod docking station for your own tunes. Easy to find and close to a busy square. Only a 20 minute walk from the center, or a 5 minute tram ride. Friendly staff, very welcoming. Bar in the hotel, with cheap bottles of beer. Decent local pubs and coffee shops. All round an excellent hotel which made it a pleasurable stay.
- It is being quite harsh, but the bathroom looked dated compared to the rest of the room, but it did the job. The stairs were steep like everywhere else in Amsterdam, but it keeps you fit.
