+ Location is great, very close to Centraal Station and on a tramline. Clean room and good soundproof windows. Beds were extremely comfortable.
- Small room and noisy when windows are opened. AC not very effective. Could use more shelf space in the bathroom. Expected Wifi to work in bedroom and it did not. Also had difficulty connecting to service in lounge area.

Very good sound insulation - overlloking tram route - but could hardly hear it.

+ Very comfortable bed.
People at front desk helpful. Food and service in the ajoining cafe very good.
Good location.
- Room 505 is claustrophobic, even single room still needs to be bigger than that room.
Information on table advised room service available, however, that has snce changed and therefore updated information only should be kept in rooms.
The walls are thin enought to hear televisions and conversations of people in adjoining/close rooms.

+ The hotel has resently been modernized, so the room in general was very nice. Flat-screen TV, aircondition etc. The hotel have a good restaurant which also serves a fine breakfast buffet. Hotel is located 100 meters from the Central Trainstation. Perfect when arriveing/leaving and going on the different tours of Amsterdam.
- The bedmadrases were very soft. My wife got a minor backproblem due to this. The pillows were very hard. General minus points in comfort due to these issues. The room was a bit small. But this a probably a very common size for an Amsterdam hotelroom.

+ Good location although a bit noisy due proximity of a tram stop. Train station, many sights and restaurants within a walking distance. Airport pick up. Friendly and helpful reception. There were no towels in the room upon arrival and on the first morning the electricity was out - all problems were solved instantly. Very new and clean inside and at the same time located in a historical building. Nice views if you are lucky to get a view and on higher floors.
- A bit on the expensive side especially for the tiny single rooms. I have never seen a hotel room of a size of closet with the window overlooking the elevator and transparent window shades. I had a choice either to pay extra for a twin room or move out. Too designed - no space to place even a toothbrush not to mention a make up kit - had to use one of the white chairs to keep toiletries. Wi-fi Internet signal was strong enough only at reception area. Smoking shall be banned in the lobby since you position yourself as a no-smoking hotel.

+ Reception dealt with my request for a room change quickly and politely.
- Initially my son booked a single room for me but the room was very small and unsuitable for my stay of 3 nights. For example, one would have needed a neck as long as a giraffe in order to watch television when in bed. In fact it was altogether too small and claustrophobic. My son requested a room change for me and I was given an alternative room - a double, which was more spacious.
