+ A big plus point is definitively the location: a mere 5 min walk from Leidse plein. The double Room Deluxe had a very comfortable bed and the bath room with bath tub was clean.
- The total area of the double room including bath room was quite small, ca. 20-25 square meter.

+ Compared to my last stay, during renovations, this time was more acceptable. The location is excellent. The new decor and atmosphere compliments a modern and effecient hotel. When available, staff where helpful and courteous.
- The newly renovated rooms where tiny. I had a classic double where there was simply no space for luggage and only 2 drawers at the bottom of a wardrobe for clothing.I shudder to think what a single would deliver. Indeed, if seated at the desk working, one would have to move to allow the other person to open the bathroom door. A final observation is that reception is under staffed against the demands made of it. Checking out was a 15 minute hassle.

The Best Western Apollo Museumhotel Amsterdam City Centre is a landmark at the corner of Stadhouderskade and the well known P.C.Hooftstraat (fashion), next to the 'Rijksmuseum' (Rembrandt). The 'Leidseplein' (Casino and theatres), the 'Van Gogh Museum' and the historical city centre with the famous canals are all in a few minutes walking distance.
