- very small room and very loud (we were right by the stairs and could hear everything). possibly insulate the walls as they appeared to be very thin so explaining why it was very loud

+ it was in the middle of the center, near the central station.
- it was very dirty.the day we arrived the toilet & the shower were dirty and the day we left they were as dirty as the day we arrived.the room was also dirty, i think they didn't clean anything, only the sheets were changed.
the windows didn't close.
it smelled weed everywhere.

+ Location is good but not mandatory as the city is not that big and the tram is wonderful...
Don´t trade quality and price for a good place to stay...
- Tiny rooms, no service, dirty... I have stayed in many hostels around the world but never slept in a worse room...
There are many places around the area that are 100 times better and cheaper and I stayed in some of them, so I can tell...
I would never stay there again, even for free!

+ Employees were very friendly. Hotel has excellent location near Dam square and central station.
- Our room was very dirty. There was even a stripe of shit behind the toilet that the person who "cleaned it" missed every time. Sheets were too small, floor was covered with dust and hair.

- Habitaciones en pisos altos sin ascensor y muy mal acceso. Pasillos llenos de ropa de cama tirada y hasta algun colchón. Apariencia de la habitación antigua y un poco descuidada.

- staff not friendly or helpful.
cleaners came in every morning before 9am without knocking despite us locking the door and telling them we were going to be there all week, and were NOT checking out every morning as they seemed to think. They walked in twice when i was getting changed. VERY rude! I will definately never stay there again.

Continental Centre hotel is located in the very heart of the city centre of Amsterdam right between the Dam Square and the Central Station. A five minute walk will bring you from the Central Station to the hotel. Every major tourist site, including Dam Square, Anne Frank House and The Royal Palace is within walking distance. Our rooms, single, double, twin, triple and quad, have either shared or private facilities. The hotel charges a 5% surplus for creditcard payments. There is a cost free luggage room.
