+ Centrally located Close to food establishments Close to transport Great outlook Close to stree entertainment - buskers

- No towel rails Tiles on floor could have been cleaner Pillows & Bed uncomfortable. We had been away from home staying in lots of different locations and this was the only bed that was uncomfortable (sagged in the middle and the pillows were a small square and much too high)

+ The best bed I have ever slept in Good sized room - plenty of space for luggage Wonderful location near many restaurants Teriffic bar staff (a highlight of our stay)

- The monotonous sound of hairdryers from all sides every morning

+ The staff were excellent in quickly moving me to another room and making sure I was alright.

- There were two mice in my room running from underneath the hotelroom door straight to the minibar. The mice experience will influence my choice on future business trip bookings with the Americain hotel.

+ Great location, nice view, decent room for the price (a bit old (carpet) although renovated (new furnitures / new wall paint))

- We had requested a quiet room for our 18 months baby. We had a room right above a ball room where people have been partying until midnight. => poor services and client attention

+ * a wonderful hotel in a great location *each member of staff was excellent, effective and having a relaxed and helpful approach. * interesting photographic exhibition and history * warm cosy and fun/relaxed ambience

- * breakfast expensive - so did not eat in hotel * condensed milk ok - but would like proper milk with tea/coffee in room. * would like a tiny reading light in room - as I was awake during the night and would like o=to read without disturbing my wife.

+ Great Location with great historic appeal. Some things showed a little wear but not out of line with an older hotel.

- Bathroom could have been cleaned better, but not bad.
