+ We were upgraded to an apartment, which had fabulous views over the canal.
The location was perfect, just off Rembrandt Sq, with easy access to all parts of the city and the train station.
- Very steep stair to the apartment, however the view at the end of it was worth it.

- 1. The carpet in my room was not very clean.
2. Brighter lighting in the room is required.
3. Bar of soap in the bathroom is required. Only liquid soap was provided.

+ Location.
- The services at the reception desk will be much more speedy if the desk was divided into sections of services. Especially at check-in/out time when the clients are in line, and for me waiting half an hour to purchase the network card. Your bar staff was excellent.

- During my stay it happened that the fire alarm went on accidentally (at least that is what i wa told by the reception people).
The lifts were all down and the emergency exit/staircase doors were locked, which means that in a real fire emergency you would remain locked in the staircase.
After five minutes they finally opened these doors and i went back to my room together with guests, using the stairs.
The staircase is very steep and is dangerous for old people or children. Definitely not to European Standard.
Cannot not imagine what would happen if a real fire broke out in the hotel at night and people had to hurry down this steep staircase, in the dark with smoke etc.

- Nous avons été trés déçus de notre séjour dans votre hôtelpour les raisons suivantes :
Le prix était exhorbitant par rapport à la chambre de 9 m2.La moquette présentait une énorme tâche, la couverture avait une brulûre de cigarettes et la baignoire n'était plus émaillée correctement.
De plus c'était mal insonorisé et nous avons entendu la télision du voisin.
Bref trois nuits nous ont largement suffi, nous regrettons d'avoir choisi votre hôtel, où nous ne sommes pas prêts à retourner.
Comme aucune hôtesse ne s'exprimait en français, j'espère que vous comprendrez les termes de mon message.
Heureusement que notre séjour aux Pays-Bas comportait d'autres plaisirs.

+ The location was great and the staff friendly. Expensive but Amsterdam hotels are.
- Really noisy in the mornings when the cleaning staff and guests are slamming doors maybe put silencer on the doors.

+ Good location.
Good concierge service
- Poor service. On arrival I was put in a single room and was told that the rate was the same because it had a larger bed. This was not the case and I argued a reduction in price. ¤30 was taken off my bill which I was told was the difference in single/double rates.
Apart from this, I spotted mice in the reception - and there were no towels in room on arrival... I will not recommmend this hotel to anyone.

+ Location was good for most attractions. The young guy on the information desk was helpful
- Cleaners were rude & very noisy early in the morning. Room was very small & the walls were too thin meaning it was very noisy especially at night. Some staff were quite rude especially the overweight porter on the door who seemed to have a problem with a young couple staying in the hotel

- We were not able to check-in our room on time because of delayed cleaning service. This was very upsetting when you expect the rooms should be ready upon advance booking.
