- I had a very negative experience in Hotel Eden.
I live in Switzerland and I tried to call obviously Switzerland. The call did not go through and therefore I asked the front desk what to do. They had no clue and called some technical service who also had no clue. After a while they figured out that one cannot call Switzerland from Hotel Eden. Well, this was my first and last visit to the hotel. Also I tell all firends in Swtizerland to avoid this Hotel.

+ Good location; nice room design; relatively friendly and helpful staff; good value--at the right price (I had to cancel a previous reservation and rebook to save 160 euros over five nights).
- Horrible mattresses; innovative shower drains inadequate to task; why can't I get soap instead of "bath & shower gel"?

+ We loved our room at the EDEN Rembrandt Square! We stayed for 4 nights during the Amsterdam part of our Honeymoon.
The location was fantastic! There are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants all within the square, and you truly are close to the heart of the city. You are just far enough out from Central Station to not have any Red Lights around, and I tell you we will definitely be back!

- 1 telephone did not work, safety deposit would not take a code. When staff were told, nothing was done.

+ The kitchen was absolutely complete and the beds were very comfortable. It was a nice place to stay in Amsterdam.
- The lightness in the room was excessive because there was no appropiate blinds. The building shakes when a car runs next to the window. There was a vibrating non-stop noise that came somewhere from the room, probably an electric generator. A bit annoying at night.

+ The check in was a bit shaky, they couldn't find our reservation. But after a short time all was taken care of. The Hotel is a very nice , the rooms all nice and clean, the beds were a welcome after a long day of walking. The shower was fantastic!
- The out side could use some freshening up, maybe flowers something, and some lights. The one side of the hotel is quiet dark at night.

+ Very nice (well design and lay-out) and comfortable rooms.
Rooms are at acceptable fee.
Location is good for walking and close to the canal bus and tours, etc.
- nothing major...except for the human hair (hopefully) on top of the drain

- Weird see through panel from bedroom to shower room and toilet...there are times when a little privacy is essential, and this hotel didn't supply it.

+ Lovely hotel.The power shower a delight. Staff helpful when asked anything, and left us to do our own thing.
- None, even got a smoking room. Not being sent outside for a ciggie was a joy for us coming from Scotland.
