+ WE WERE GIVEN A VERY LARGE ROOM; GOOD TV CHANELLS

- WHEN WE WERE IN AMSTERDAM THE EXCHANGE RATE FROM POUNDS TO EUROS HAD PLUMMETTED, SO EVERYTHING WAS RELETIVEY EXPENSIVE; IF WE HAD A REASONABLE EXCHANGE RATE, WE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE THAN HAPPY WITH THE PRICE

- Very noisy. I had hard time to sleep at night as my neighbour was a noisy family with two rooms. They were slamming the doors and talking loud in the hallway. To my big surprise there was a big open space under the door out to the doorway and vary bad isolation. I will never stay at this hotel again.

+ Very good location. Good bed.

- Too expensive. Not very clean and the staff was not always friendly. P.S. It is very stupid that there is possible to use a computer and a printer but it is not possible to make the check-in on line and print the boarding pass for the flight. I payd 160 euro per day but the hotel decide to save money prohibiting me to print two sheets....miserly!

+ One night we had the best meal I have ever had in a hotel resturaunt and that was in your excellent resturaunt, it was excellent from the starter to the pudding and the wine although slightly expensive was also a very good example of the right wine for the occassion. we also were given 2 lunch boxes for a day trip we took and that was also well stocked. the hotel was situated just right for what we wanted to do, we were almost able to walk to other squares and other bars and shops without spending money on taxis and we did enjoy our stay and your staff were excellent throughout and very helpful.

- On the minus side the double bed turned out to be 2 singles pushed together and we almost fell to the floor on our first night, maybe I should have asked for an upgrade after that and the mini bar was a bit strange even thought I took out and moved a couple of items back we were still billed for them, although when I queried my bill it was deleted but surely the fridge could be used for personal items for guests and have only part of the fridge with items that are chargeable and if a person wants to look at the item he is being charged for first and then puts it back unused there should be a minute or two time before the link to the desk kicks in. Other than that we will stay again and just ask for a better bed situation next time.

+ That you don't have to check out till 12 noon, security is good, and the fact that you can only access lift by using your room key, helps families feel secure. Easy to get to both on foot and by tram.

- This is our second stay, did feel the rooms needed a lick of paint in parts.

+ The hotel is ideally placed to see the city, away from the noise but close enough to be enjoyable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent, comfortable, clena and well appointed. I will definetly book this hotel again.
