+ Great room with comfy beds and modern fascilities. Just make sure you book into the 4 star hotel and not the tulip Inn next door!
- Busses are abit hit and miss into the town centre but once we got the hang of it no problems - night busses were also available

+ Everything else was fantastic.
- Problems when paying on our final day. I was told by reception staff there was not enough funds on my credit card to pay our hotel bill. I was very embarrassed and had to ring home to get another credit card. When I got home my credit card company explained the reason I had insufficient funds on my card was because your hotel had put a hold on 600euro of my funds. Your reception staff should have let me know this when I was paying as I was embarrassed and worried money had been stolen from my card as I could not understand why there was not enough funds to pay the hotel bill. This unfortunate episode spoiled what was a very enjoyable weekend with you.

+ The room was very modern and clean. The bathroom was lovely with separate bath and shower, bath being very deep. The breakfast in the hotel was very nice and resonably priced.
- Did not realise that it the hotel is situated so far out of town centre, even though it is only 10 mins on the bus it is a long walk.

+ Very nice, cosy hotel. We enjoyed the stay tremendously!
- The internet/e-mail access via the TV system didn't work, and in spite of various calls to the front desk, the problem couldn't be solved. The front desk personnel also had NO IDEA how the system was supposed to work .... pity .....

+ The rooms were very smart
The restaurant and bar decor was amazing
Overall we had a lovely time there
- We had a room overlooking the railway lines rather than the water - so make sure when you book to reserve a room with water views.
There was no shower gel in the room.
There was no mirror over the dressing table so you could only do your hair in the bathroom
There was no long mirror to see what you looked like before going out for the evening
At breakfast noone was there to greet us and tell us how it worked so we were left to work it all out ourselves + the food kept running out! Looked like they needed more staff.
It was a little far out so a free shuttle bus so many times a day would be a good investment for the hotel

+ Bathroom is very nice and modern.
- The floor is not a level which makes very dangerous for the elderies.
A little bit far from the center. Especially the traffic is pretty bad to go into the center.

+ It is nice that the hotel is a distance away from much of the main activity of the city. It is still close enough to walk to all the activity of the city and gives the opportunity to see much more while walking.
- Good location for a couple, however if I were alone I would not walk to the entertainment area of the city after dark.

+ The hotel is decorated beutifully, the rooms are contemporary and the shower and bath were great. There is a decent bar on the premises and the staff are helpfull.
- The hotel is located some distance from the city centre. Although there is a bus stop right outside they only run until about 10pm and taxi's are very expensive. The hotel is aimed at the corporate market and i wouldn't recomend it for couples or family's.

Golden Tulip Amsterdam Art is opened in February 2004. This 4 star hotel is decorated while showing that comfort and design perfectly match. There are 60 luxurious design rooms with a purple lounge sofa, the bathroom has walls of glass and you can find a mirror, wide as the wall, above the work desk. Design is also the keyword for the public areas of the hotel. The colour combination red, purple and grey, together with some elements of glass, give a daring view.
