Individual hotel reviews

+ Your staff were very responsive, polite, respectful.
The room was clean, quiet, well lit.
The facilities were clean and adequate, even if the breakfast room was sometimes crowded.
Your lift was greatly appreciated.

- There was a busload of noisy youth that arrived on our last evening there. They seemed to like the folks in the room next door to ours.

+ The people at the front desk were exceptionally helpful and polite. The room was exactly as described on the website, and yes, it was clean and comfortable even though it was quite small. It is located in a great neighborhood, about 30 minutes walk from the central train station, with museums and restaurants close enough but not too close to feel contstantly in the thick of things.

- For our purposes, which was to stay for one night and leave the next morning, there really were no negative points. Yes, our room was not huge, but get with the program, this is Europe, not North America, space is at a premium! Also, everyone complaining about those stairs... well there is a lift so it is not absolutely necessary to use the stairs. We used them and had no problem, but I could see that if someone had a physical difficulties the stairs could be a bit of an obstacle.

+ - we were upgraded to a larger room at no extra charge
- we had a great view over the city
- the breakfast was much better than standard
- the location is within walking distance of nearly all the major attractions.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel to the budget traveller.

- - parking was a nightmare. It required a 1 1/2 hour round trip to the Olympic stadium to store the car at extra cost (of 6 euros)
- narrow twin beds had a hard wooden edge all around. Not at all what North American bodies are used to.

- Room nr.212. When I first time open the door to my room I just fell over the 15 cm hight step in the hall. I could not see the step, there was no warning at the door. That step is very dangerous. I have still pains i my knees, so I am not happy whith that room. I forgot to tell you about it before I left. Sorry to tell you.
