Hotel Arena is a first class hotel, a city monument, in the city centre of Amsterdam. The 127 stylish and comfortable rooms are all equipped with private bathroom, television and telephone. The rooms at Hotel Arena vary in size and shape and are all decorated with light tones and chic minimalistic furniture. Authentic elements have been combined with warm colours, wooden floors and designer furniture to create a unique atmosphere.
Hotel Arena is centre of both international and local culture and activity. The emphasis lies upon hosting cultural events and the facilities include a hotel, bar, restaurant, club and conference rooms. These are called respectively TOSTAY, TODRINK, TODINE, TONIGHT and TOMEET. The hotel is easy to reach both by car and by public transport. It has a private parking lot on hotel grounds.
The hotel does not allow pets. There is a 24-hour reception.
The building dates back from 1890 and was first used as Roman-Catholic orphanage. Later it became an old people's home, and in the 1980's it was turned into a youth hostel. A number of noted designers participated in the renovation, and the result is a modern building with a lot of character.
