+ nice room

- just a bit pricey

+ fantastic location, definately worth paying more for the jacuzzi, very relaxing after a day mooching round the coffeeshops and braving the cold amsterdam weather, especially with a reef!

- no bad points really, lots of steep stairs and you really needed a map to get to our room through the maze of corridors, you get what you pay for.

+ Location (although quite noisy at night) and kindness of the people working there.

- Beds quite small and not to comfortable enough. No wireless internet connection in rooms.

+ average hotel, average price. cant really fault it. great location.

- the fact i booked it on my card, the hotel decided to freeze £100 on the day i was due to go to check the card was live and the booking was gonna go through,i wasn't told about this happening anywhere because id have made arrangents to make sure i had more money as it nearly left me with no spending money ,then instead of taking it off the bill they held on to it. i only found out it was the hotel when i arrived back in the UK,it also took me a week to get it back. if id known beforehand it would not have been a problem.

+ Very well located - basic, but had all that you would need. Helpful staff who were always friendly.

- Room was smokey - and you couldn't see anything but a wall from the window! Jacuzzi bath was fab - but a tight squeeze for 2!

+ Very friendly and helpful receptionist on arrival.

- Water leaking on the floor in the bathroom.

+ Location is good -- my front-facing room overlooked a square with cafes and restaurants so you really felt like you were in the middle of a city. There's a tram stop just outside too. Friendly and helpful reception staff. The jacuzzi was brilliant -- complete with groovy underwater lighting!

- Some noise from both outside and inside (people clumping up the stairs). Steep, narrow stairs and no lift -- don't stay here if you have mobility problems!

+ Friendly staff, 24hr reception, safe in room, brilliant location, smoker friendly, tea/coffee facilities in room, snack bar/fridge in room ideal for storing beers!

- None

+ Great location, within easy reach of shops, trams, Canals, restaurants, bars. It can be a bit noisy but nothing major, it's a small price to pay for the location. Service from the staff was very good & they were all very friendley. Room was cleaned every day (we only stayed 3 nights), If you don't mind a basic hotel & you get a really good rate on a room then this is not a bad place to stay for a few nights.

- The hotel is very basic, if you have expensive taste or are fussy about where you stay this is not the place for you. The room that we stayed in was very basic & quite small, I felt the room was overpriced for the quality. No bath only a wet room.

- There was an awful noise at Saturday night in the street below. When empting jacuzzi water flew over the floor and smell of wet carpet (or samething else) was very bad.
