+ Breakfast in the room. The bed was great. The airco +++. The location of the hotel.
- We requested a non-smoking room but got a smoking room. The room had a window into a dark alley. The internet-tv was quite expensive and too slow, the browser was not compatible with many websites. The minibar had no water (although it had a lot of bier).

+ Perfect location: on Damrak St., across the road from the Red Light District, down the road from the Central Train Station and 5min walk from where most Tour Guides start their tours.

+ Ideal location, Rail station 10 mins walk away, Right on Dam Sq. Staff excellent/friendly.Well worth going to this hotel. I would recomend it to anyone eap[ecially my friends.
- Hotel was just finishing the referb of the reasturant so a little hectic with the tradesmen.
However worth the wait.

+ Apart from that I think the Hotel de Roode was a great hotel to stay in, recommended to anyone.
- I could have done with a run through of things in the room, or perhaps an instruction manual as I couldnt find the heating switch, but this is a minor point.
The staff weren't the friendliest but by no means were they unfriendly.
Had quite a lot of noise in the night, but what do u expect being on the Damrak, just next to Dam Square?
