+ Well presented. Early check in (thank you) Two sinks and flowing soap in the bathroom. free water. Friendly service.
- The Ceiling was too low in the shower, we could not stand up. Could not switch on the bathroom lights in the middle of the night without the lights in the bedroom above the art being switched on. Breakfast was way too expensive!

+ On arrival at the hotel. We were immediately informed that we had been upgraded rooms to one of their best. The room itself was fantastic. It also had its own balcony overlooking the city.
- None.

+ The hotel is situated right alongside the Singel Canal on a pleasant, shady street. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The interior of the hotel is beautifully decorated from the stained glass window to the salt water aquarium in the lobby. We would encourage anyone coming to Amsterdam to book their holiday here.
- We have absolutely no complaints.

+ The front desk people were especially helpful in finding transportation for us to the port of Rotterday when our plans to travel with a cruise group by motor coach did not materialize.

+ Basically, we loved our stay at yor hotel. The location was great for us. The room was spacios and we liked having a small table and chairs. Lovely view of the canal and large windows that opened. We appreciated the room change to the third floor from the first flooBreakfast was also good but they ran out of croissants almost everyday before we came down. We hope to come back.
- The room had no inside security lock, chain, or deadbolt. The door to the room was very weak and the lock itself was inadequate. In fact the door was cracked around the lock. Most hotels have a much more secure door to the room. We felt a little vulnerable because there was no chain on the door.

+ Great location. Beautiful lobby and bar. Nice fruit, coffee and pastry selection. Staff tried to accomodate our request for a canal view room. Very pretty room and great view of the canal. Teenage children liked having internet access to their friends.
- Room was very small but that was a choice we made to have a view of the Singel Canal.

+ We stayed at the Estherea early Apr this year when cold winds were still blowing in Amsterdam. The 24-7 free-flow of complimentary hot beverage (coffee, tea, hot chocolate) really helped to warm us up when we came in from the cold. We also loved the complimentary supply of cookies, chocolates and pastry (if you are lucky, you even get fresh strawberries!). The reception folks were extremely friendly and informative. The location's great - there were plenty of cosy restaurants nearby for those who want to dine out and pastry counters for takeaways; the tram stops were just a couple of narrow streets behind the hotel and the post-office a couple of minutes' walk away. I'd definitely stay at the Estherea again.
- The room we stayed in was a bit on the tiny side and we were not too keen on the furry bedcovers (made us thought of dead black bears...). There was also some renovation works going on, but not too disruptive.

+ Nice decoration. Good situation. Nice decor and great breakfast.
- Rooms too small. Rooms should be better isolated. In the morning when the guests in the room next to mine talked (in a very normal voice) it was like they stood in my room!!!
