+ The location is ok - the tram stopped near by. The breakfast room was ok, and so was the breakfast, but the jam was too sweet.
- We got a room close to Stadhouder skade - noisy in the evening and at night. The jam for breakfast was too sweet so change it.

- Furnitures and curtains were dirty. The breakfast room and the breakfast buffet was unkind. Very loud rooms because of a bussy road. The price was not reasonable.

- The advertising material shows beautiful big rooms overlooking the canal; the reality is that you get stuck in a windowless room in the basement which is noisy and hot. Furniture was flimsy and in the first room we had there was no wardrobe and only two hooks to hang up clothes. Breakfast was not worth having, very poor quality.

+ Nice staff, always helpful, breakfast buffet was fine, clean, no problems overall. I most definitely would prefer to stay there again, just arrange in advance to NOT have a room streetside. That's all.
- Regrettably, the hotel was on a main road and our room got full noise at sunrise/sunset with traffic. Someone has to get such rooms. They had no alternatives for a family of three so we had to endure the noise, in the evening and again, in the morning. No problem with the hotel, the staff, all very nice, just this geographic problem of a room, streetside and traffic noise.

Hotel Linda is a monumental building that was recently renovated. The hotel is an excellent starting point for discovering the many charms of Amsterdam. In addition to the large number of cosy restaurants, cafes, the famous "Albert Cuypmarkt" and the excellent shops in "De Utrechtsestraat", the entertainment centre with its many discotheques, the Opera and the city's museums are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel comprises a private parking place (which is unique for Amsterdam) and can also easily be reached by public transport: From Schiphol the train to Amsterdam Central Station or RAI. Then take tram nr. 4 or 25, stop Stadhouderskade. Hotel Linda lies on 50 m. from the stop.
