+ Excellent friendly service - we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent. Location away from centre so good for peace & quiet at night.
- The hotel decor was quite dated - especially bathroom. However everythin was functional and clean.

+ The staff were very polite and friendly. In fact, the staff were wonderful. The grumpy night porter was really funny too :) We probably owe the guy a beer! I'd like to thank all the staff for a very pleasant stay, I look forward to returning. Of all the hotels I've stayed in Amsterdam, this has been by far the best, and that includes the 5* job Crown Plaza (who's only plus point was the massive restaurant and array of breakfast items that we were too tired to take advantage of anyway).
- No kettle. As an Englishman and a Tea-addict, I really missed the kettle :( Some kind of fridge would've been good too, but there's obviously a limit to what can be placed in a hotel!
