+ Very close to major attraction and about 15 - 20 minute walk to the Central Station.
- The room lack ventilation, especially with the summer months coming.
The room is a bit dark for us, especially the toilet and bath.

+ Amazing location, literally steps from Dam Square, friendly staff, great breakfast.
- Really really pricy, but we did stay there during Queens Day which would be a factor.

+ The lobby is beautiful.
Breakfast is good - gallons of freshly squeezed orange juice and (very rare nowadays) white grapefruit juice. Some sausages would have been nice on the cooked side.
WiFi is free - ask for a code at the desk (but see -ve comment on connection.)
- Booked a double for single use (I'm tall and need a big bed), given a twin! When they did find me a double it was in what must have been one of the smallest rooms in the hotel - just about enough room to walk around the bed.
Bed very soft. No mini-bar, pay-TV etc.
No power outlet by the table for my laptop. WiFi didn't work in my room - connected but couldn't get their login page! (Worked in the lobby.)
As with (nearly) all Dutch hotels even the "non-smoking" rooms smell of cigarette smoke and the lobby is a smoker's paradise. (Fortunately its size helps thin the smoke.)

The 3-star Rho hotel is very quietly but centrally situated, just a few steps away from Dam square. Once used by Hollands famous gold company, the beautiful hall, originally built as a theatre in 1908, is now our lounge and reception area. All rooms are comfortable, most of them very quiet. We do also have
