+ Excellent location right in the middle of everything. The breakfast could almost have passed as a brunch buffet. The room, while not too big, was big enough. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Friendly reception. Good price compared to other hotels.
- Bed was a bit on the hard side, but I tend to want softer beds than most. Being so close to the Dam square, there was some noise from people in the street. Nothing preventing a good night's sleep though.

+ Very good and friendly service, all rooms are non smoker rooms, I forgot my jacket in my room, it was saved and sent the day after. Even located in the very closed vicinity of the loud masses of tourists and others, my room was quiet, because it goes to a not frequented side street.
- one day the wireless was crazy, but they fixed it very soon.

- fitted carpet, worn blanket in bed, plastic sheet under cotton bed-sheet (in hot weather this was very uncomfortable), no air conditioning.

+ Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean all over. Good selection for breakfast. Excellently situated in central Amsterdam - good walking distance from main attractions.
