Hotel Torenzicht Amsterdam - AmsterdamHotel Torenzicht is a Budget Hotel located in the heart of the exciting and authentic Red Light District. One of the biggest tourists attractions of Amsterdam (after the 'legal' use of soft drugs). The hotel is situated in a typical old Amsterdam building, less than 5 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station and the Dam square. In the Red Light District you might notice some things you wouldn't find in your average neighbourhood. The first thing is the large number of many coffee shops, Live sex shows, clubs, bars and girls!

The hotelbar has a friendly atmosphere and is open 24 hours a day (for guests). You can smoke a joint in the bar (not in the rooms!) and BIG screen SKY Sports available!

Additional information
- Het hotel has a 24-hour reception.

+ location,service,bar,braekfast.

- 100 E for sleeping place on a garret seems rather too expensive.

+ put it this way, its amsterdam... you want to visit the red light district you dont need to get a train or a tram or walk far its right infront of you. the hotel bar is great with big screen tv. the drink is reasonabley priced and the staff are excellent. you can sit up all night and unwind with a few beers and a few joints. what more do you need?

- absolutely none!

+ great location for a group of mates to enjoy the culture of amsterdam!! smoking a joint in the bar was a definate plus. friendly staff and perfectly comfortable beds to crash in after a heavy night!

- dont expect to sleep on friday or saturday nights the noise outside was incredible right up til about 5am, breakfast was below quality expected for the price.

+ Low cost, centrally situated, friendly staff, pub downstairs, clean room and bed linen, secure doorlocks. Adequate accommodation for the price.

- No lift, steep staircase, 3rd floor rooms share a single bathroom, position in the heart of the redlight district may not suit everyone. No bedside lamp and room furniture spartan.

+ location, 24 hour bar and being able to smoke in the bar were big bonus points for me

- a small minus point is that the bed linen is only changed if you stay three nights or longer, i wasn't sure how clean the showers were so i wore shower shoes (a bit dorky i know but no varukas for me)

+ When our neighbours were FAR too noisy, the hotel service didn't have any problem in giving us another room.

- Walls were too thin, if your neighbours are a bit noisy, your vacations may not be very nice.

+ central location, quite good hygienic standards, we booked a triple (not en-suite) and got an en-suite with four beds

- narrow stairs (kind of dangerous), good ground-floor bar (open 24/7), breakfast in a small room and not great but still more than acceptable

+ The bar is open till all hours and the staff are nice, smoking weed in the bar and watching the working girls from the rooms is fun too. the security is also good

- I was staying in the quad room which was good but the matresses kept on moving around while i slept. no big deal really

+ The hotel is ideally located for the Red Light district and the museums. The place wasn't too noisy but that could have been because I was on the 3rd floor. It was clean and tidy and the staff were polite and helpful. Would defiantly stay there a again.

+ the people that work there were wonderful and very helpful. especially miriam. she is a gem. cant wait to stay there again!!! centrally located in the madness of the red light district.

- the only thing that was not GOOD was the beds. they are just mattresses and slide off. not at all comfortable. but who is there to sleep!!
