+ Excellent service - friendly, helpful and trustworthy staff, good breakfast, good hygiene, and a reasonable price. I will choose Vijaya next time.

- hotel smelled of cats pee, I got 15 flee bites, mosquitoes on the stairs, having to walk around the scaffolding was dangerous. Bed linen had make up and saliva stains. Wouldnt stay here again if you paid me a million euros.

+ Execellent location, helpful staff, I particularly enjoyed meeting the hotel cat!
- If your room is at the front of the hotel, it can be very noisy during the night (our friends' room was at the front). Tea & coffee making facilities in the rooms would have been nice to have.

+ Location, location, location. If you want to be in the heart of the red light district it is a cheap way to go. On the same street are coffeeshops, red lit windows and all the seediness of amsterdam. Its also close to the station and main areas of tourism.
- Nothing unless you want a luxurious stay, slightly noisy at night but easy to sleep.

+ Great view from our room. The room was ideal for a short break. Location is really good. Right in the heart of Amsterdam. Ideal if you're looking for a fun couple of nights out.

Hotel Vijaya is located in the heart of the centre, 3 minutes walking from Central Station, Dam Square and the main shopping streets. It will take a 15 minute walk to get to the Leidseplein and the Rembrandtplein. You can also take tram, train and busses to these and many other attractions. All the rooms have private shower / toilet, TV, radio and intercom. Breakfast is included in the room price. The hotel also books excursions to for example Zaanse Schans (Windmills) or Keukenhof (Flowergarden and fields).
