+ Very kind hotel staff: front desk and wait staff. Our request for a nonsmoking room had been overlooked but was quickly corrected upon our arrival. The rooms are tight but exceptionally clean and comfortable (the bed and bath gets all the attention and the space-- that's what I want from a hotel room).
- The walls are definitely thin, but overall it wasn't a problem. The restaurant is a little overpriced, and the kitchen closes by 10pm (but the bar serves drinks in the lounge until midnight or so).

+ Location is very central, and the room is really nicely designed. Comfortable beds and pillows with all toiletries in place. Courteous front office staff.
- Common areas to the rooms constantly smelt of smoke Reception was a bit chaotic, unable to handle the lot of guests coming in

+ The hotel was in a great location, right in the heart of the city, but away from the noise of the Ledsplein.
- The room was tiny - it was a small double, but you could hardly move about in it and felt very claustraphobic. Also, I initially booked for 3 nights, Fri, Sat & Sun, then I phoned on the Friday to extend my stay until Tues and the room price was a additional 64 Euros ontop of what i was paying for the same size of room, which I thougt was a bit expensive.

+ Beautiful Boutique Hotel. Nice bar, good music (house/jazz), good service. Funky place, well designed, tasteful decor.
- Small room, although comfortable. Very expensive breakfast (>¤18 pp). Room charge excessive for room size. Unfortunate that on arriving in Amsterdam from Kuala Lumpur at 6am, no room available until 3pm.

- it took a long time to check in and out. the telephone was being answered eventhough we were in the middel of checking in and again when we were checking out. it makes you feel less importent.

+ Location
- No air-conditioning, surly front desk staff, bathroom would flood every time you showered (and there was no hook to hold the shower head), in room coffee / tea not refilled every day

+ Second room great. Quiet location, but in a central area(Leidsplein, where all the restaurant's and shopping start's). Nice and tidy rooms, very helpful staff, and a nice backyard. Modern decign in hotel. Free internet and PC use.
- Expensive hotel, but Amsterdam hotels in general are expensive. Small rooms, but tasteful. the second room we had during our stay was much larger. The reason why we changed was beacause we had reserved smoking-rooms. Breakfast not cheap, but since you are not far away from Leidsplein it doesn't matter.

+ The lobby of the hotel was actually very nice and the reception staff were friendly when we booked in. In our room though it felt like a different hotel as it was in a different building and not nearly as smart as the main hotel lobby. Having said this, the room was modern and comfortable enough with a good shower. I'd recommend the hotel, though perhaps not as a first choice. Also, perhaps consider getting a larger double room if possible. All the accommodation in Amsterdam seems to be reasonably expensive.
- The small double room was really very small and dark. The corridors leading to our room were also dark and small. Our room had a separate hotel entrance so we had no contact with hotel staff during most of our stay. Breakfast not included and expensive if paid for separately. A minor complaint was that the pillows were too firm.

- Do not accept rooms 201, 301 or 401, which are close to the elevator; there is no service elevator, thus the roommates are making a lot of noise in the morning while cleaning around.

+ The food was very good and the wine, the hotel is very chic and clean good location for all the sights. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We would use this hotel again if we visit Amsterdam again.
- The only minus point was that you could hear people talking in the lougne below and people coming in and out of the hotel.
