+ The management was very attentive and obliging. For example, Amsterdam was having a unusually warm spell at the time of our stay, and the management gave us use of their office fan for our room. The view from our room was extraordinary.
- The advertisement promised that there would be a cafe and bar on site. In fact, this hotel is in the process of making extensive upgrades and renovations. As part of this process, there was no bar service in the evening. Thing like the renovations and the absence of certain amenities like this should have been pointed out in the advertisement.

- Please email me an email address where I can write a detailed letter about all my bad experience with the Hotel Y-Boulevard Amsterdam. Unfortunately, during our 3 day stay in this hotel our pleasant holiday had turned out to be a real nightmare as somebody broke our room door while we were away for a not more than 20(!) minute walk and stole all our valuables, incl. our laptop, camaras, cellphones, videocamera. The hotel did not take any resposibility at all, moreover they have handled this problem in a very negligent way. The security system (suspiciously) was not working that evening, nobody had warned us that the hotel takes only the responsibility if the valuable was placed in the safe of the hotel, and of course not a cent of our damage was reimbursed, they did not even propose a discount on our bill as a gesture after all what had happened to us.

+ Breakfast is really good and they also offer a Parking lot for a more-or-less cheap price, compared with other options.
- It doesnt have AC and if you get a room in the avenue its really noisy, specially if you leave the window open (btw the rooms only have a little window) even at night.
You can only have access to the WiFi at the lobby.

+ The location is great & the staff was very nice & very helpful. The breakfast was good as well.
- Very hot, a cieling fan would be a huge improvement.
Room was dorm like, nothing on the walls, broken light fixtures, etc. Definitely a hotel setup for single partiers rather than families.

- The bathroom was tatty with no toilet seat lid and the tiles had been repaired with a tiles that did not match.
The bar was never open.
A restaurant was advertised, this was never open.
The hotel was a bit shabby - it looked like it was in need of refurbishment.

- Didn't seem to be enough air flow in the hot weather. a few more fans were needed to circulate the air!!! But you can't change the weather!!!

- we asked 4 a double bed and got 2 singles, 1 of them was missing a leg. the room did not have a walldrobe. on the first night the key stapped in the lock, there are no phones in the rooms to call reseption so if i didnt have my mobile we would have been stuck there all weekend. for the money we payed iv stayed in a lot nicer places in amsterdam. i would not recamend this to anybody!!!!!
