+ Very convenient location. The staff is very nice. The rooms are clean.
- The rooms are very small, but not unusual for Amsterdam. Breakfast is a bit overpriced.

+ It was very clean room and the hotel location was in walking distance by the center.
- The room was too small and there was not air conditioning system but only central heating and cooling system, which was not enough for the summer period.

+ excellent service very friendly service staff in reception and the bar / restaurant.
- extremely noisy with traffic on road directly in front of the hotel. Constant hooting with the car horns. This was in the early morning and late at night up to 1am!! Suggest that you get a quiet zone established.

+ Perfect location
- for the price room was very basic and very small, especially bathroom, very little room to move. Hotel tried to charge us for more than the agreed booking price and on departure tried to charge us for a telephone call we hadn't made.

- WE BOOKED ONLINE FOR 3 NIGHTS AND AFTER 1 WE FOUND WE HAD BEEN LOCKED OUT OF OUR ROOM. THIS LEAD TO CONFUSION WITH THE CARD KEY NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND THE INCONVENIENCE OF HAVING TO HAVE IT INITIALISED 2 OR 3 TIMES BEFORE IT WOULD WORK AGAIN. I ALSO THINK KETTLES AND TEA MAKING FACILITIES SHOULD BE IN ALL ROOMS COMPLIMENTARY

+ exelent location for me since i came in from mexico by air, came to downtown amsterdam by train from the airport, went out for a good night, slept like a baby, went by train back to the airport and continued my journey to africa. great.
- a little expensive, but i guess that is what it cost in amsterdam downton .....

- very plain rooms ... no mini bar ... i had a smoking room and had staff knocking on my door numerous times claiming that the smoke detector was going off ... once, even though i was not smoking but in the shower
