+ The hotel has been very well refurbished, and it was extremely comfortable and pleasant. The room was a delight to stay in.
- It isn't in the most central location, and the train line was, on occasion, quite noisy.

+ i only have plus points about this hotel and the staff - would definitely stay there again as would our 2 other friends who stayed in a boat house nearby - they visited us and loved it and also the food- a hidden gem to be honest

- 1) Price would have been fine except I had to pay for a double and I was a single! This is really not fair, especially when the hotel is not fully booked.
2) Location was a little far from the town center and though I enjoyed the walk the staff should point out the close availability of the train station and the tariff system.

+ We were fortunate to have a room just off the lift, facing the water. So we had a lovely view.
- On check in, and not knowing the history of the Lloyd Hotel, it was a bit disconcerting to find the picture book of the past of this hotel. I happened to open it to a frightening photo of boys bleeding and being beaten. We later learned it used to be a prison.
This gave for a bit of creepy feeling when we took a look down those long corridors....!!

+ Good communication with tram/bus, and more or less everything. Will absolutely check your offer the next time we're in Amsterdam.
- Not being able to walk to the center in winter, and the price is a little high for turists from cheaper countries (Spain)

+ Very cool accomodation, great food, friendly people, all in all would not hesitate to stay again. Having a supermarket opposite is very strategic.
- Shower area does have a curtain so floor gets wet after shower - a bit messy there.

+ The hotel atmosphere was very warm and friendly. The entertainment they provided was really amazing. The staff really helped point out places to go and things to see making our trip even more enjoyable. The train stop close to the hotel made going anywhere so easy.
- There were no negatives about our stay.

+ So nice to stay somewhere that has attempted to do things differently. We had a fantastic time. We came on our own, but will definitely bring our children next time as there was a lovely child-friendly atmosphere. Super hotel.
- We had lunch on the day we arrived and the portion was quite small.

Come and stay in the hotel which currently has the most media-coverage! This remarkable hotel offers an experience in itself. Renowned Dutch architects, designers and artists have transformed this monument dating from 1921 in a hotel where many inhabitants of Amsterdam, international artists, tourists and business people feel at home. 
These rooms have been restored with much attention and love in their original state. The design by Christoph Seyferth ensures that every space has been fully utilised without losing its essence or originality. All rooms offer a view over the water and have specially designed beds, tables and lamps. Guests are offered the use of a bathrobe free of charge, for their little stroll to the bathroom.
