+ The dining facilities were very elegant and the breakfast room was lovely the breakfast buffets were delicious. The restaurant downstairs was very nice and the service was excellent. The views from the dining area made it a pleasure to sit and watch the world walk by.
- The man at the desk was abrasive and rude as well as the man at the desk outside the breakfast room.

+ Location, nice furnishings. Has quiet rooms that are not subject to the noises of the street. Nice desk attendants. Usually rooms are available.
- The mattresses are terrible; about the worst of any hotel I have stayed at as a frequent business traveller. I have stayed in many rooms at the Jolly and all of the mattresses are terrible, lumpy, with metal coils sticking through. The bedding is also average; if you compare to the NH Hotels, the Jolly bedding (mattress quality, pillows, blankets) are very inferior. Compared to a US business hotel such as the Marriott Courtyard, the Jolly bedding does not even rate as a 2 star. Wifi is extra - I expect it to be free as a business traveller. It is everywhere else! Put some washcloths in your linen supply

+ Reception service was excellent friendly and helpful staff. Bed linen and towels changed daily excellent quality and cleanliness. Location central to all attractions. I would have no hesitation in staying again and recommending to others to do the same.
- No minus points. Fully satisfied.

+ Overall very good
- Rooms at the front of the hotel can be very noisy with all the nightclubs and bars. However a room at the back (as on previous stays) is much better. The breakfast room back in the Tulip room feels a lot better than in the downstairs room. But what has happened to old Cappachino/Espresso machine??

- more info on nearby restaurants and the tram system. Disappoining resturant and overcharging in the bar by staff unless you asked for a receipt.
