+ Very good location. Big room. Nice pillows and quilts. Good bathroom with great shower head.
- Very boring and not too fresh breakfast.
A little too modern decoration (in a cheap way) to have the real Amsterdam-feel.

Hotel's front door is on a lock system controlled from reception, took a while for them to open a few times.

+ upgraded to a 5* although it didnt suit our taste.We are coming back to Amsterdam in 2007 and would really like to stay at Nova Hotel but are a little uneasy about booking over the internet again because we dont want to be disappointed for the second time.
- Unfortunately on arrival at Nova Hotel after travelling in a taxi at 10.30pm from the train station in the awful weather we were met by your receptionist who informed ourselves of the following.Our room was no longer available and we would be staying in another hotel. We had recieved no correspondence about this change and i found myself in a very upset state as this weekend was a special trip for my boyfriend.The receptionist then informed us that we had been upgraded to a 5* and ordered a taxi to take us there which we had to pay for. On arrival at NH Amsterdam we were told there were no rooms available.We found the staff to be very rude and after much reasoning they managed to conveniently find us a room. After a distressing start we managed to make our stay a good one although we were made to feel very uncomfortable in NH Amsterdam due to the clientele that stay there.We were disappointed with Nova hotel for not informing us of the change so we could prepare ourselves for a stay at a different hotel and we were also disappointed with the level of customer service we recieved.

- Our room was not big enought to put an aextra bed for our 3 year old daughter (just edged in). This was not done before our arrival.
