+ Great location, very friendly and helpful staff, breakfast good, rooms good size, clean and tidy.
- Decor and appearance is 'tired' - needs a refurbishment. No tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.

+ I thought this hotel was in a good location. Personally I didn't go to any museums, but it's close to those as well. To get into the main part of the city you can take the tram, unless you don't mind walking 20 minutes. The tram stop is close by, as are restaurants and shops. The hotel was in a quiet part of the city which is good for getting sleep.
- Late at night when the tram isn't running, you will have to walk a ways if you're coming from the red light district.

+ The quickness with which the rooms were cleaned every morning, almost as if by magic while we were eating breakfast, was impressive. The relaxed attitude to smoking (responsibly of course) was very welcome. Hopefully, as the anti-smoking campaign grows in strength, equal rights for smokers and freedom of choice will continue at The Owl.

+ The hotel is very clean and quiet, well located for museums, parks and the city centre. Staff is very friendly and make children feel welcome.Room size may vary. We had a large room with a big bath, while my sister had a smaller room with a small bath. Should we go back to Amsterdam we would happily go back to the Owl hotel.

+ You cannot beat this hotel where helpfulness and friendliness of the staff is concerned. The location is excellent, too. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again.
- The bedspread was not clean, which was pretty unhygienic; however, when I pointed it out to the maid it was changed within five minutes.

+ Very good location, clean and confortable rooms. Friendly service, including free internet access (very handy!). Also, very nice breakfast. Plus, the breakfast room has a view on an internal garden. Will definitely recommend this to friends and family.
