+ staff were very friendly in general and efficient. Rooms slighty tatty around the edges, however this was not too great a discomfort. We understand that the hotel is due to be refurbished.We would stay again.
- room rate on the expensive side.
Downstairs public toilets(below bar) were overflowing at the time of our stay and were not pleasant.Did not appear to be inspected on regular basis.

- The hotel clock at my bedside was two hours behind. As a result, I arrived at the breakfast buffet just as it was closing, and was rudely advised that I should be more punctual if I expected to be served.

+ We appreciated the friendly atmosphere and the thoughtful and helpful staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If our son goes to Nottingham University we will be very happy to use your hotel there on occasions.
- None, except the weather was disappointing. Hardly your fault!

- We were assigned room on top floor in which it was unbearably hot (even if it was not very warm outside), and remained so even with the portable airco that was delivered upon request.Hardly slept because of it.

+ Me and my wife were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel. It stood out when compared to other hotels we visited this year. Particularly: clean, friendly, excellent location.

- the television remote did not work
the 2nd night their was electronic problem in the ceiling above my entrance and i wasnt able to move to a different room. No compensation was offered for these problems!!

+ Room was clean and well decorated, tee and coffee was lovely. Painting in the lounge was beautiful. Service in English was good.
- The tap in the bath room was broken for days and shower holder for all the stay. Safe did not work even though I tried to do as I was told.

The famous Leidseplein with hundreds of possibilities to go out is not far and aside from that you'll pass the shopping street P.C. Hooftstraat. In the trendy Cornelis Schuystraat you'll be in 5 minutes!
