+ Very good friendly reception staff and bar staff and the Hotel is located in a good area, not too far from central Amsterdam and near the museums. A good recommendation for my friends and colleagues.
- I can think of no minus points. The Piet Hein is excellent value for money. If I was paying the same rates as the Okura or some such hotel them I would expect different.

+ We were very fortunate to have a balcony room facing out onto the top end of Vondel Park. If we had stayed in a room facing the back of the hotel with no view we woudln't have enjoyed it nearly as much.

+ I have been upgraded to the front facing balcony room. this room is fantastic. the bed is so good I went out and bought it. being allowed to store ones luggage allday on departure. very helpful staff on reception. free internet use. very important. discount on hotels.nl but u could do better especaily midweek and off season. i will stay again, on the whole u are very good hotel and i have stayed in many. one of the best in amsterdam
- if not upgraded then the single rooms are a bit small but more importantly dark and dinghy. my last room was opposite a business and my privacy was compromised. the bed was soft as well. not good mices downstairs in the bar area. not cool. the safe often does not work

- rooms and closets a little small. Coffee at beakfast wasn't the best in the world. other than that things were just as good as I expected them

+ Staff were exteremly pleasant and hospitable. The room was very clean.
- The room are very small and the amenities are not good for the price you have to pay. The location was not the best at the time because of road work which blocked road access to the hotel but after road work is completed, it should be better

+ The hotel is wonderful. We have stayed there on more than one occassion, (previously booked through alternative operators). I travel to Amsterdam twice a year and going forward The Piet Hein will alwyas be my first choice. The staff are fantastic and the rooms are both modern and comfortable. A relaxing drink in the luxurios hotel bar is just the order after a day in the shops!! Top marks - could not ask for anything more.

+ The location is perfect. Its quiet and safe and whilst not exactly central it is only minutes away from the main attractions on the excellent public transport. The rooms were very clean and well kept and considering Amsterdam is quite expensive for any sort of decent hotel the value for money was in my opinion exceptional
- None really as got exactly what I expected and thats all you can really ask for.

+ Good interiors design, friendly staff & very well situated (close to the city amenities, transport...)
- No water pressure in the shower, no hairdryer. Breakfast not included in the rate & very expensive.
