- The hotel is located a bit off the beaten tourist path, which is both a plus and a minus.

+ They had some friendly staff but this could not make up for the inconveinence encountered.

- This was by far of the hotel's we had booked through your servcies the worst. When we arrived at the Hotel we were told they had no room and had to go to another location. In turn, breakfast was included in the cost and when I mentioned how we would be compensated since the other location was out of the way, we were told that we had to go back to the Hotel each morning for breakfast. Moreover, we were asked to pay the hote fees upfront because we were staying at another location through no fault of our own, they had asked to keep my passpost as security... WHY i have no idea?!. I already have told some friends who are planning to go to Amsterdam that this is one place I would never recommend. Out of the several hotels we booked through your servcie, this was by far the most expsensive and worst for all the reasons noted aboved.

+ Very clean and location was good ..

- I have never seen such a small room .. with 2 single beds you could barely walk between them , you had to turn sideways ... I had pressumed en-suite included a shower and a toilet but it did not include the latter .. plus the shower door was completely see through .. in the morn. in order to get our deposit back from the key we had to call the front door bell for 15 mins. b4 the guy asleep out the back woke up ...

+ Price not very high for the location.

- No escalator with very small stairs (difficult to climb with the luggage).
Poor breakfast.
Old style decoration.
We had a very small room with 2 beds (less than 6 m² with little space to put the luggage).

- there was a constant noise besides our room. Apparently this was the boiler of the hotel, the water was boiling the whole night making a very annoying noise.
The breakfast wasn't very good and the silverware dirty.

+ Very friendly people and in a good location for all the sights

- The only drawback for some people would be the steep stairs, but we soon got used to them

+ None

- They put us in a room that was actually in the garden. It was dirty and infested with ants and insects. The only reason we stayed was because there were no rooms anywhere in Amsterdam. Disgraceful.

+ The room was large and clean. We spent very little time there, so I couldn't really say much more.

- The hotel was really difficult to find. We had the address and knew a few landmarks it was near, but written directions on the booking confirmation would be great, especially if they would include how to get there using the street cars.

+ The only plus point was that it was relatively cheap - but then again so was everything about it.

- This was a basic hotel and nothing was beyond the basic element of service, comfort or quality.

+ Mmmmm...... Errrrr...

- Stale bread and dry cheese for breakfast anyone?
Oh, and if your credit card payment is referred to a security centre, the guy can't be bothered to talk to them, and demands cash payment. The stairs are fun, though, especially when your head's a bit battered!!! Might as well use the fire escape at the back, and come in through the windows which don't close / lock!!
