+ Fantastic location to all the major sites and train station! The staff was wonderful, as was the comfort bed.

- The hotel changed its name from Sofitel to The Convent Hotel. If I hadn't checked into this before the stay, we'd still be looking for a Sofitel.

+ The staff were friendly and were more than helpful Location is great as it's along the tram stop and only 1 stop tram stop away from the train station.

+ Hotel was very clean and comfortable and was central location with convenient walking to city center, shopping, and train station. Good restaurants nearby.

- Hotel breakfast was very high quality but not flexible with offering ala carte when we wanted only toast and coffee - still had to buy one of the menu selections.

- 22 Euros for 24hrs for wifi access is a RIP-OFF. Thank goodness you also had T-Mobile access for which I have account. Wifi access should be free or reasonably priced e.g. 5 Euros for 24hrs. Are you aware that many professional people who blog and twitter are boycotting hotels who charge rip off prices for wifi .. for example, I publish an electronic newsletter that goes out to over 16,000 people and I will be telling them about my stay in Amsterdam - I will tell them great hotel - but don't stay there - the wifi is the most expensive I have come across anywhere in the world - even top class hotels!!!

+ Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, and a nice comfortable room. I would happily recommend this hotel.

- Room was a bit 'tired', it needed an update, especially the shower which wasn't very powerful.
