The Quentin England is a comfortable 47 room hotel, located in the heart of historical Amsterdam. Located across the street from the beautiful Vondelpark, and close to all major Touristic, Business and Financial centres. The Hotel is in an ideal position if you wish to explore Amsterdam. In less then a 3 minute walk, you will find yourself in the famous Leidseplein, a center of Casino, Lido, shops, restaurants, bars and nightly entertainment. Less than 5 minutes walk in the other direction, will bring you to the beautiful Museumplein, the home of the Rijksmuseum, with the most important collection of Dutch old masters, sculptures, prints and antique furniture. The Van Gogh museum which shows over 200 of the artist's prime works as well as contemporary artists, and the Stedelijk museum, with an outstanding collection of modern art, photography, video and design.

- no towels, tv is not functionning. very high price (queen's day week end) for a very limited comfort.

- Overpriced. 5% additional charge for payment with credit card. Poor reception and management of rooms and strange concept of "upgrading". We ended up in a 4-bed dormitory when we wanted a twin bed room...

+ Excellent location!

- The single room I had was very small (about 3-4 square meters) + bathroom (1,5 square meters) and had NO WINDOWS!!! Maybe it would have been OK if they had mentioned that in the description of the room!

+ I have been going to Amsterdam for 8 years and have stayed in a lot of hotels. They cost around $249.00 a night. I can say without hesitation, that this hotel was just as good in quality and even better in location. I have found a hotel of choice in Amsterdam!

+ We were a bit worried about this hotel as there had been some really negative reviews written but we were pleasantly surprised with our stay. We arrived and the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and all the facilities worked. The location is excellent. I would return to this hotel.

- The 1 minus point would be that we were given a room next to the laundry room and it was very noisy in the morning.

+ The hotel was clean, the rooms were basic but warm and comfortable, the lobby area was nice (I like the flowers), the staff, including cleaners were friendly and helpful, nice coffee, close to Leidesplein but in quiet area.

- The price was high as we were staying over New Year. Had we have payed the standard rate, I feel the hotel would be priced reasonably. However, we could have payed alot more as all hotels seemed to double their prices! Also quite noisy inside as the walls are thin.
