+ Location - very central; beautiful view of the canal in front of the hotel. Walking distance to museums, shops, good resturaunts, close to the main train station. Friendly front office staff - even tho' ineffective.

- The drainage in the shower are was clogged and worked very slowly. They did NOTHING to fix the problem. Every time one of us took a shower the entire floor would flood. We would have to wait till the water drained before the second person could go in. The carpet was filthy, in the 3 days/nights we spent there - we had maid service only twice. They said they could not change our room as their hotel was full. We had paid in cash. Our room overlooked the garbage container.

+ Had a room on the bottom floor with a window that was street level, that was pretty cool watching the canal and people walk by.

- the bathroom flooded if you you took a couple of showers in a row.

+ Location was excellent, and there was friendly service. In spite of the shortcomings, the staff tried their best to serve us.

- There were very few rooms that actually had fully functioning lights/phone/heat all in one room. We had to choose what was most important to us.

- There were no bed covers on the bed only sheets. The room was not cleaned or bed made up for second day.
The basement room was tiny for a "double" room
Having to pay in advance before I had seen the room forced me to endure a terrible stay.
I hope I don't have to stay there ever again.

+ The location of the hotel is excellent as it's just few steps away from the busy area of Leidsplein. The lady front desk officer was very kind to tell me the direction and information, too.

- The staircase is quite narrow, easily can fell or slip off.

+ Nice Location, it was quit far from center, but we did find it very easy to get there both by transport & walking.

- Room was very small, very squashed, even though it was a Superior Double

+ Very good price. The hotel was very basic, but for the cost it was very good. The room was small and basic but served our requirements very well.

- The room we were in had quite thin walls and we were kept awake by people having noisey sex next door. Although we did see the funny side.
