- We were given a room which was soaked in sewage stench. The standard was poorer than in any youth hostel! After complaining, we were transferred to another hotel. I would never recommend Trianon to anyone as a hotel, it is a dump!

+ -Excellent location, -Easy reacable by public transport, -Friendly staff, -Cozy restaurant

- Rooms are small (very small), however I guess in Amsterdam it is common to all mid-range hotels.

+ The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional. Cleanliness was excellent. The location is great, near the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseums, just a few meters from tram lines and an Albert Heijn grocery. There is also convenient and inexpensive bus service to Schipol.

- A very small room. I have stayed in larger rooms for the same price at other hotels in Amsterdam and other European cities. Still that was a minor inconvenience. There was an upper bunk folded against the wall. Two people in that room would have been a challenge, as in taking turns breathing.

+ Very friendly helpful staff, warm clean room (although very small), good location close to museums and transport.

- I did ask for a non-smoking room but was given a room on a smoking floor. I thought the shower was a little uncomfortable, not enough water pressure, and the internet access available much too expensive. There were also renovations still underway.

- The difference between the room that was showed on the internet and the actual room is very disapointing when you discover it after a travel and a day of work.
