+ The woman who checked us in for our first stay on the 21st of June was delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. I was pleased. On the 2nd of July, the man who checked us in was also pleasant and delightful. No complaints. The same lovely woman who checked us in our first part of the stay checked us out on the 3rd. Nice smile, very helpful. I liked that.
- The other woman who checked us out on the 22nd however was NOT pleasant and I found to be rude and impunitive. I needed assistance using the phone but found a 20 euro charge to make a phone call confusing and just had some questions. When I asked her to please reiterate some information she seemed bothered, lowered her eyes at me and in an irritated tone quickly reiterated and then stated in a rude tone "That is what I explained." I was very put off by that and realized I wouldn't be staying in this hotel again if I were to be treated in this fashion.

+ Location near the Central Station, the Damstrat and nearby quaint neighborhoods. Cappichino machine at breakfast was a hit for me!
- While the overall location is very good for the Damstrat area, the down side is the amount of street noise late into the night.

+ Good location close to dam and central station. But far enough away to get a good nights sleep. Room was spotlessly clean. Beds very comfortable.
- No minus points except breakfast should be included.

+ Key to the front door after hours gives a feeling of security. The receptionists were very friendly.
- Like many hotels I have visited the bathroom lighting is a catastrophy for doing make-up. The lightsource derives from behind and above. There is no magnifiing mirror.

+ Great location.
- Our room was an interior room with very little air coming in, so it was quite stuffy. There was no air conditioning (the hotel did supply a fan). Also, the staff was very uninformed about where typical tourist spots were so couldn't tell you how to get there. They didn't know which trams stopped at the Leidseplein! (even I knew that).

- We have booked a room at Your Ramada hotel. In internet it was advertised, that the package for includes the room AND a "french breakfast". In the first morning we were disappointed, that the breakfast, which was called "french breakfast" included just one cup of coffee or tea at the lobby!

+ Good location in the center of the city. Comfortable beds. Breakfast all right.
- The architectural layout with the toilet facilities being placed virtually inside the room, with no privacy at all made the stay extremely uncomfortable, so we are not going to stay in a Ramada hotel again. Too few hooks and coat hangers. No minibar.

+ the only plus point was the fact it was close to most of the shops and bars
- for the money i payed the room was very basic. on top of this the smell in the lifts was of sewerage so we had to use the stairs i did complain about this and was told the smell was coming from the building next door,no discount was offered for the inconvience of this smell.

+ None really apart from the location but we could have found a better smelling hotel a lot closer to the centre for the price we paid at the Ramada. I found the staff to be unresponsive when taken to task over the sewerage type smell in the lift and corridors.
- The smell in the lifts was absolutely awful. I complained to reception on a number of occasions but nothing was ever done. The smell was that bad it was in the corridors and in our room. We upgraded our room to a Star room as we saw the pictures on the website. Unfortunately they are very deceiving as you could not swing a cat in there and there was little or no privacy when using the bathroom. We have stayed in a standard room before but as we were on honeymoon decided to take a star room. There was nothing "Star" about it unfortunately.
