+ My husband and I come to Amsterdam for a short break twice a year for several years , we have stayed in many hotels , We both thought The Ramada was excellent and will be staying here on our next trip.

+ location was perfect, only a few mins walk from the main area!! great for shopping, eating, drinking, red light district. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and so nice, i'd reccommend this hotel!
- The room was a little small, I was told all the rooms are the same size, tho cosy. A little expensive for what it's worth but the location makes it worth while. also with a ramada at least you know you are getting a certain standard of hotels as many in amsterdam can be grubby and really tiny!

- Single 'Star' room was tiny - single bed right next to the door, with no room for a bedside table.

+ Location is perfect, central without being TOO central.
- Although we requested non smoking rooms, on arrival only one was available.

+ Excellent, excellent location
- Was inconvenienced by the fact that the time was not correct on the credit card machine and had to go walk to an cash machine to draw the money out to pay for the stay (when I was sick). When I returned a joke was made of the fact that the time was wrong on the machine - not an ideal was to respond to an already upset customer. Stayed in room 503 (star room) and did not like the fact that the bed ended against a wall, made the room very cramped.

+ Excellent location, friendly staff and very nicely decorated and maintained. The beds in the star rooms are probably the most comfortable I have slept in.
- The only concern I had was on arrival I upgraded as did many of my companions to find the rooms admittedly very cosmopolitan ,but very compact in my case ( room 511) no space to "swing a cat". So I suppose a little expensive for what we got, I suppose though this is to be expected at a city centre hotel.

+ Reasonably central. Good powerful shower. Friendly staff.
- The accommodation included continental breakfast. This was croissants and coffee (in paper, disposable cups) served on a table outside of the main breakfast room. You had to eat this in the hotel lobby! As you can imagine, crumbs all over your clothes. n.b. this wasn't because of insufficient space - the breakfast room was virtually empty. Furthermore, there were no croissants in the dispenser on the first day. I asked for service - no response. Eventually, I helped myself from the breakfast room, where there were plenty. The bedroom was very basic and very small. Overall at £90+ per night, not good value for money. I've stayed in many European cities, including Paris, Barcelona, London, Madrid, Berlin, at good quality hotels; and the Ramada was the least value for money, by a long way.

+ We had a very enjoyable stay at the Ramada. We flew from Belfast and the hotel is a short walking distance from the Central Station which is a big advantage. There are plenty of little restaurants and bars nearby which makes it a good area to stay in.
