Rembrandt House Museum

During the Rembrandt 400 Year, two exhibitions will be held at the House:
- A Quest of a Genius (1 April - 2 July 2006) – an exhibition trying to show how Rembrandt worked.
- Rembrandt and Uylenburgh, Dealing in Masterpieces (16 September - 10 December 2006) – an exhibition about the painter and his art dealer and the business side of the Rembrandt’s life.
Here are the two most important exhibitions of the Rembrandt 400 Year to be held outside the Rembrandt House Museum:
- The Van Gogh Museum presents an interesting concept of confrontation between the two geniuses of the Northern and Southern baroque: Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) and Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio (1571-1610) (Rembrandt and Caravaggio till June 18, 2006. Over 20 monumental paintings on loan from major museums around the world offer a visual spectacle depicting powerful images of love, emotion and passion.
- In addition to this exhibition, world-famous paintings by Rembrandt throughout the whole year 2006 can bee seen at the Rijksmuseum (Rembrandt - The Masterpieces).
