Maloe-Melo Amsterdam

Maloe-Melo features live blues most nights, interspersed with evenings of jazz and country, and jam sessions on Tuesday and Thursday nights. If you have a thing for the blues Maloe-Melo is definitely worth a visit. The place is well known among musicians and blues lovers from around the world. During the years that Maloe-Melo has existed, hundreds of bands have played there and many of the great folks in music have visited. This is the place where punk-legend Patti Smith chose to host her unofficial late night gig, last time she visited the Netherlands in 2005. Doug Sahm, T99, the Seatsniffers, Louisiana Red, Barry Hay, Andre Williams, T-Model Ford, Paladins, Big Sandy, Lazy Sunday Dream and the list goes on and on.
