Rembrandtplein Hotels Amsterdam

Rembrandtplein Amsterdam is best known as a centre for nightlife and entertainment, with its many clubs, pubs and cafés. More than this, however, it is a central area with easy access to Dam Square, the Waterlooplein markets, the Heineken Experience and the museums of Museumplein, including the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. For anyone who wishes to stay close to this part of the city, there is a wide range of Rembrandtplein hotels to choose from, with something to suit most pockets on offer.

Luxury Hotels

Rembrandtplein can be a place to stay in style, with easy access to high end Rembrandtplein clubs, the luxury of a four star hotel may be the perfect retreat at the end of the night. The NH Caransa at Rembrandtplein 19 is a four star hotel with a range of room types including luxurious suites, located about as close to the square as you can get. On the other side of the square at Rembrandtplein 26, the NH Schiller, which is part of the same hotel group as the Caransa, is housed in a beautiful art deco building and decorated in a much more classic style, while still maintaining the NH aura of luxury.

Just a short stroll away is another luxurious Rembrandtplein hotel, in the form of the Eden Rembrandt Square Hotel at Amstelstraat 17. This four star hotel features a French style restaurant and brasserie that is known for its seafood offering. For those looking for a nice hotel without quite paying four star prices, Eden Hotel Amsterdam at Amstel 144 is a three star hotel in the Eden group that also offers a comfortable and luxurious stay.

Boutique Hotels

While all of these luxury Rembrandtplein hotels offer excellent service, they are part of larger chains and sometimes a guest wants to find a more unique hotel, with a one of a kind offering or a distinctive theme. The Albus hotel, around the corner from the square at Vijzelstraat 49, is another four star hotel and so offers a high standard of service, but with more of a focus on the hotel's design. Nearby, Hotel Atlanta is found right on the square at Rembrandtplein 8 and is proud to be the former home of painter Piet Mondriaan, with his work found throughout the hotel.

Another unique Amsterdam hotel near Rembrandtplein at Amstel 104 is Hotel Amstelzicht. This three star hotel is located in a historic canal house dating from the 17th century and its rooms are all designed in traditional Amsterdam fashion. The Hotel Imperial at Thorbeckeplein 9 is another independent hotel with custom designed rooms to make each feel different. For the ultimate boutique and exclusive stay, the B&B 1657 at Herengracht 585 has only two rooms on offer and promises a much more personal experience than any large hotel.

Budget Hotels

Not everybody comes to Amsterdam with tons of cash, and for young people on a budget staying close to the clubs of Rembrandtplein can be a great time and money saving idea. Hostel The Veteran at Herengracht 561 offers cheap accommodation in rooms that hold up to four people together, a short distance from the nightlife on the square itself. Nearby on the river Amstel is Hotel Monopole at Amstel 60. This one star hotel has 12 rooms as well as a number of apartments that can be perfect for a group wishing a bit more self sufficiency on their trip.

Budget Hotel Thorbecke at Thorbeckeplein 3 is a one star hotel with clean and basic rooms in a central location that is relatively easy on the pocket. The hotel is directly over a late night bar and rooms can accommodate up to three people together. Finally, the two star City Hotel at Utrechtsestraat 2 is another cheap hotel in Amsterdam with rooms for up to eight people that also boasts its own modest cocktail lounge.
