Upon entrance to the canal-side restaurant is the ground floor comfortable dining area suitable for breakfast and lunch. Here the décor is modern complimented by a carpeted wall with multi-colour stripes. A few steps up are tables kept exclusively for dinner guests arriving during lunch hours too. But if you prefer to have a private lunch/dinner with drinks it’s ideal to sit in the basement, lounging on the couch.

De Herengracht has a diverse range of breakfast and lunch, alongside an all day dinner menu. Changing every two months, their a la carte menu is remarkably priced. Most unique to their menu is the Steak Tartar,’ prepared in the dining hall before you, allowing you a taster while it’s still cooking.

For a culinary experience they invite you a group of up to 16 people to dine at the Chef’s table by their open kitchen. This is highly recommended and costs nothing extra, simply reserve in advance.

The entire restaurant is an eclectic combination of designed interior with classic as well as modern décor. Throughout the diner are exhibited works of Peter Donkersloot, a famous Dutch artist.
