The Restaurant split four ways, is reminiscent of a Spanish Veranda. Each quarter splendidly furnished with wooden tables and cane chairs set upon a cobble floor. The dividing walls are connected by windows, allowing you to peep into the neighboring hall.

The first quarter is indeed a bar. There are sofas and tables flush against the side wall, where it is possible to have a drink and appetizer if you are waiting for a friend or a table.

The Restaurant lit with candles, sets up a romantic aura within its dark interior. Attention is captivated by two trees sprouting through central tables in the main dining hall.

De Kelderhof's menu boasts a variety of Spanish and French appetizers, ranging from Herb Butter Snails to a selection of Tapas. They offer a seasonal 3 course menu of the month, serving Meat, Fish and Vegetarian dishes. Their speciality however are the Grill streaks of Meat or Fish, served with vegetables and potatoes.

All meals are generous in portion, and priced at 25 Euro or under. To enjoy an a la carte meal with wine costs no more than 40 Euro.

Once you have ordered you are swiftly served with warm bread and butter, by one of the helpful waiters. Entertainment is also not a far, as two musicians meander around the tables playing a harp and guitar, singing as you enjoy your meal.

De Kelderhof does in fact have two entrances, one to enter the Restaurant, the other to their Tapas Brasserie on Lange Leidsedwarssraat 53-59.

It is advised to book your table in advance, especially if you are in a group. However, if you are not visiting nearby Leidseplein or Anne Frank House, you may reach the Restaurant by canal. Simply arranging with the boat service to drop you off.

Whether you are looking to dine out with friends, family or your partner, De Kelderhof creates an ambience that invites you all, for a night to remember.
