The restaurant’s name when translated literally means ‘The Tea Tree’ accounting for the artwork trees that line the walls. The diner is elegantly decorated with fresh flower arrangements and plants, signifying the Mediterranean influences. The tables are well set with crisp white linen, and are complimented by the floor length draperies under the soft light.
‘d theeboom have a fine three-course menu at 32.50 euro, with an optional a la carte menu slightly pricier. Though their seasonal menu changes regularly, their signature dish remains a rack of lamb with herb crust and black olive sauce.
To compliment your dining experience they have a strictly French wine list from many French regions. Their house wine is 21 euro and prices go up to about 60 euro per bottle. It is also possible to have half a bottle of your favourite tipple, to follow up with another type of wine if you prefer.
‘d theeboom is also a canal side diner, where if the weather befits your mood you may enjoy your meal along the canal belt to relish in the natural beauties outside the restaurant as well as within. The service overall is formal yet friendly, contributing to the relaxed and intimate surroundings.
This restaurant is the perfect location for fine French cuisine that is true value for money, within an atmospheric diner full of life and pleasantries.
