The Toren Hotel Amsterdam
This small hotel takes its name from its owners - Dutch hotelier family De Toren. At present, Eric De Toren leads the place. At the same time “de toren” means in Dutch “the tower” and corresponds with high, beautiful tower of the Westerkerk which dominates the area and remains a timeless orientation point for the hotel’s guests.
Location
The Toren hotel main attraction is its central, but nevertheless quiet location at the beginning of Keizersgracht, one of the big canals forming the old centre of Amsterdam. Since the traffic in this part of the canal street is not very intense, the hotel is cozy and quiet, also at night.

Dinning
The Toren collaborates with the nearby Restaurant Christophe, which for several seasons used to have one Michelein star, but has changed its chef since. The restaurant is lead now by its former sommelier Ellen Mansfield and one of its chefs Jean-Joël Bonsens, who in the past worked for famous Paul Bocuse.
Rooms
The Toren has 38 rooms. They are traditionally decorated: old fashioned furniture, eclectic and rather dark silks, thick plush curtains, big cushions, colored carpets. The accent is on comfort, so the furniture does not have one consistent style. The double rooms have old fashioned baths, so called superior rooms have whirlpools and some more exclusive rooms even have Jacuzzi. Flat screen TV’s, WiFi and small espresso machines complete the rooms’ equipment.
The Toren hotel is known for its friendly, attentive and dependable service. Its location near Anne Frank House and the lively district of Jordaan is its main asset.
