One of the higher-end hotels in the Dam Square area, Tulip Inn Dam Square is situated in a monumental building that, in times past, served as a distillery. This is an apt history for the hotel as right next door is 'De Drie Fleschjes', a sampling house (proeflokaal) serving liqueurs and traditional dutch Genever. While prices at Tulip Inn Dam Square may be a little higher than in some other hotels around Dam Square, with a 3-star hotel you get what you pay for.

Location

Central as Tulip Inn Dam Square is, it is not to be found on one of the major streets, a fact which may work in its favour. The hotel can be found in a relatively quiet cobbled pedestrian street called Gravenstraat behind the New Church (Nieuwkerk). Visitors can walk the 600 meters from Centraal Station in about ten minutes and should have no trouble spotting the hotel's distinctive arched windows and solid build.

Dining

Breakfast is served in the hotel's breakfast room, however the Dam Square location may entice visitors to explore the area nearby and its many eateries. In addition to the proximity of De Drie Fleschjes, the hotel's own bar offers refreshments and is often open to visitors quite late.

Rooms

Tulip Inn Dam Square has 38 rooms in total, including one suite. Standard rooms for one to three people are equipped a telephone, television, paid in-house movies and tea and coffee making facilities as well as ensuite bathroom containing a shower, toilet and hairdryer. Superior single or double / twin rooms are also available, these are larger, non-smoking and come with all of the amenities of the standard room with the exception that they have a bath instead of shower.

The hotel's one suite has separate sleeping and sitting areas and comes with two telephones and two televisions as well as all the facilities to be found in the other room types. The bathroom in the suite is equipped with both bath and shower.
