Amsterdam Wine Festival
The Amsterdam Wine Festival offers its visitors an opportunity to taste different wines, participate in wine workshops, buy books about wine and even dance till the early hours. The festival is held twice a year in the Westergasfabriek in the Westerpark (adults only for this March Amsterdam event).

Open Tower Day (Open Toren Dag)
Once a year many of the towers in Amsterdam are open for the public. You can take the elevator in a modern skyscraper or climb a long and narrow stairs to see over Amsterdam. When the sky is clear you can see kilometers, because the land is very flat. Check the website to see which towers can be visited.

National Restaurant Week
Two times a year, restaurants all over the Netherlands organize a March Amsterdam event during which they offer a full 3-course dinner for a friendly price. This week offers the great opportunity to visit star-restaurants without spending a lot of money. The participating restaurants change each edition.
