This is not your typical eatery, dressed up to the nines to impress. Van Harte's brick walls and floor create a rustic interior that keeps in line with the restaurants low profile. Despite the relaxed atmosphere they offer high restaurant quality food, giving you more than what you would expect from them.
Their lunch menu comprises of sandwiches, soups and salads made fresh every day. They also offer homemade sweets excellent with a cup of tea from their exquisite collection. Van Harte's dinner menu consists of five starters, main meals and desserts of which a three-course meal on average costs 30 euro.
Unique to their menu are the forgotten vegetables from the early days, which are no longer on the plate at home or in most restaurants. To accompany your dining experience they have an extensive wine list as well as a specials menu which changes every three months.
On display are large frame photographs made by artists that change every two months, and is Van Harte's attempt to bring art closer to their customers.
