Combining a boat cruise with something to do makes it more interesting for children and adults.

Food

The traditional Dutch pancakes are thin and soft. They are topped with your choice of toppings. The pancakes are not ordered and served but instead there is a pancake buffet to which you go to make your own pancakes. It is "all you can eat" offer. So there is no limit on how many you eat.

Toppings include sweet food like fruits, syrups, candy or chocolate. Savoury toppings like bacon or cheese are also present. Vegan, gluten free and lactose free pancakes are also possible.

There is no other food than pancakes.

Drinks

The drinks are not included in the ticket price and you have to buy them using a bank card (Visa or Mastercard). They are quite expensive. Around €3 for a small drink. So be ready for this situation. The selection includes sweet drinks, tea, coffee, beer, hard liquor.

You are not allowed to consume your own drinks.

Tickets

The price for the Amsterdam pancake boat ride is:
€22,50 for adults,
€17,50 for children from 3 to 11 years,
free for children up to 3 years.

You can reserve your place on the Amsterdam pancake boat ride tickets website.

Ticket is included if you get an Amsterdam city pass. It is a good way to make your visit easier. Look at our comparison of various versions.

The boat and the ride

It is a larger boat so the cruise doesn't go to the Amsterdam city canals. It rides on the wide Ij river. The ride lasts for 75 minutes.

All the tables are next to windows so all passengers have view. There is also an open deck. Toilets are on board. And also a children area with ballpit and coloring pictures.
